The Kingsbridge Area Federation consists of two schools: West Alvington C of E Primary School and Charleton C of E Primary School. The governors of this well established Federation invite applications from enthusiastic candidates for the post of acting executive headteacher. The successful candidates will be in post for a period of 1 term in the first instance.

This temporary post arises from the resignation of the current headteacher and is to provide cover whilst the Federation considers including another local school within the federation in the Autumn term 2012.

Experience of working in a primary school at senior management level is essential. Candidates should be able to demonstrate that they have the ability to lead a team over two schools and have a good working knowledge and understanding of strategic leadership and management. The ability to communicate with children, parents and other agencies is vital.
