Coombeshead College is a large comprehensive school with 1400+ students on roll, including a lively sixth form, situated in the pleasant market town of Newton Abbot between Dartmoor and the South Devon coast.
It is a specialist media-arts and training school, a foundation trust school with partners: BBC; British Council; Exeter University; Phoenix Education Trust and Sustainability South West. It has recently developed its campus which now includes a 300 seat theatre, a community sport hall, a new teaching block and television and radio studios. The college has national and international partnerships and looks to achieve significant involvement in the local community.
The new principal will have the drive and vision to lead the school to further improve standards ( last Ofsted was satisfactory), the personality to communicate effectively with all stakeholders and to develop our established partnerships.
